J.R.E. Lee, Sr. Lodge #422, True Destiny Chapter #84, and Piggly Wiggly stores feed 30 families for Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, Nov. 21, J.R.E Lee, Sr. Lodge #422 and True Destiny Chapter #84 partnered with Piggly Wiggly stores to provide Thanksgiving Baskets for 30 families in the greater Tallahassee area. Various items were in the basket, including  a turkey, collard greens, rice, gravy, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, and drink mix. Additionally, Lodge and Chapter members aided in transporting meals to the recipient’s vehicle, conversing along the way about the importance of spending time with family during this festive holiday. At the conclusion of the event, several recipients were extremely appreciative and expressed their sentiments with sincere hugs and words of gratitude.

J.R.E. Lee, Sr. Lodge #422 presented to Roy Moore, owner of Piggly Wiggly stores, an award for his willingness to give back to the community. Marlon S. Honeywell, Worshipful Master of the Lodge, stated, “We are so humbled to be able to partner with Piggly Wiggly stores to provide food for families in need. Moreover, we could not have reached as many families as we did without the generosity of Roy Moore. I am extremely thankful to J.R.E. Lee Lodge, True Destiny Chapter, and Piggly Wiggly stores for their willingness to give back to the community.”
