The Christian Response to the Coronavirus

The good news is that we have the victory. We can rise again. We can hope and believe again. There is a lot of talk about Making America Great Again and now talk of opening the government again. I have come again to tell you that if you have been “born again” you have the victory in Jesus. You don’t have to live in defeat again, anger again, fear again and overtaken by satanic powers again. Jesus Christ, the living Christ, the reigning Christ, the victorious Christ, is able to give you the victory again. “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them all.” (Colossians 2:12) Again, Jesus defeated death, sin, the grave and the devil. “O death where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15: 55-57)

Again, if you have been born again, Jesus Christ is your Lord. You have been given the victory over Satan. The challenge is some of you are so afraid of this coronavirus that you have given it the victory over your mind and spirit. You are keeping up with how many people have died and the mortality predictions from some model. Since when did a scientist have more power than the Savior? Some of you trust the words of the CDC (Center for Disease Control) over the words of “Christ’s Divine Control!”

Since we all are wearing masks and other protective clothes and equipment, can I encourage you to please, put on the whole armor of God. “Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might; put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6: 10-11)

Do you know that your chances of dying in a car accident are greater than your chances of dying of the coronavirus? Do your research. Again, you have the victory over Satan. (1 John 5:4-5) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son God.” Again, have you been born again? Of course, you have! Therefore, you have the victory over Satan. Amen.
