Victory Over Sin

We can have the victory over sin. I asked you a few days ago “What victories do believers enjoy?” Remember, we have the victory over death; we have the victory over Satan and we have the victory over sin. When we add up our victories in Jesus, we can live in victory. Moreover, we cannot simultaneously live in sin and walk in victory. Sin will abort and kill all victories for which Jesus died and arose from the grave to grant unto all believers. “For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made righteous of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) Listen, we can live in victory because Jesus paid the price for our redemption, salvation and righteousness.
We have the victory over sin and all of the side effects of sin. Some of the side effects of sin are a bad attitude, ungratefulness, being overly sensitive, poor self esteem, untreated depression, joylessness, fear, anxiety, and hopelessness. Listen, we have been healed of all these side effects. As a matter of fact, we will be healed; we are healed; we are being healed. The healer is healing now. Yes, I know several people who were healed from this coronavirus. The truth be told, God has healed you from something and even somebody. Let’s take a praise break! You may not have given God enough praise lately. We may have been so caught up with the news of the coronavirus, that you have not focused enough on how good God has been to you, your family, your career, your situation. Have you thanked God lately for His saving grace? “For by grace are ye saved by faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)
I am so glad that I am saved! I am so glad that I know Jesus! I am so glad that Jesus is my savior! I am so glad that I have eternal life! The old saints used to say, “I got somewhere to lay my head, to lay my head, when I die.” We have victory over sin. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) The doors of the church are still open. Amen.
