TCC finds new women’s basketball head coach in Lees

Addie Lees didn’t get much of a cooling out period after being named the new head coach of the women’s basketball program at Tallahassee Community College.

Lees began working immediately, according to a news release from TCC announcing her hire. She becomes the seventh women’s basketball head coach in school history.

 Joe Cohen took the team through last season as interim head coach. He was named interim coach to replace Matt Huddleston, who resigned after one season.

“I am beyond thrilled to have Addie Lees join our staff and lead our women’s basketball program,” said Chuck Moore, Director of Athletics at TCC. “Through this extensive and thorough search, she continuously stood out among others for not only her passion and energy but her preparation for each segment of the process. 

“Addie’s peers speak to the level of competitive toughness of her teams, which shows to me her ability to motivate and prepare for each opponent.  Her commitment to the classroom and character-building excites me just as much as I look forward to her bringing that same culture to TCC.”
