Ingraham throws for a victory

AUBURN, Ala. — Milton Ingraham’s win in the men’s discus led Florida State’s track and field throwers at the Auburn Classic.
Ingraham, a senior from Miami Gardens, had the field’s longest throw of 56.68 meters in the discus. Ingraham was second team All-ACC honor in the event as a junior last year and was a first team performer in 2001.
Redshirt sophomore Jacob Hoeffner finished third in the discus with a throw of 49.29 meters.
Riley Simmon finished sixth in the women’s discus with a best effort of 40.06 meters and was ninth in the shot put with a throw of 12.98 meters.
Florida State will host the FSU Relays this Thursday through Saturday at Mike Long Track, while the Seminole distance runners will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the Raleigh Relays on the same dates.
