Tung-lin Wu

 Special to the Outlook

Tung-lin Wu defeating Michael Mmoh 6-3, 6-4 to claim the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger men’s singles title this past Sunday at Forest Meadows. It was the first professional meeting between the two and Wu’s first ATP Challenger title in his third attempt.

Wu grabbed the first break and took 3-0 lead. That was enough damage for Wu to go on and take the set.

In the second set, Wu took another critical break to go up 2-1 on his serve. That was all the 23-year-old needed to clinch the title after taking the set.

Savannah, Ga., is the next stop for the third week of clay court action. Wu and Mmoh are expected to make the field.
