What brings me hope
Waiting is over; it’s time for mission to Nepal

Special to the Outlook
September is finally here, and I am excited about our upcoming mission trip to Nepal. We were supposed to go in November of 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic was in full swing, and everyone was on lockdown while COVID-19 wreaked havoc. However, the waiting has not been in vain because the approximate two years have given us time to get to know the wonderful Nepalis people better.
When Pastor Singh first contacted me after becoming a faithful viewer of our television show “Where Is Hope,” he shared that he was from Nepal. He also wanted to find out more about Turning Point International Church. I must admit that I had to do a Google search to find out where Nepal was. I was delighted to see that it is located in South Asia in between China and India. It is nestled along the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountain ranges and is home to Mount Everest the tallest point on Earth. Nepal is slightly larger than the state of Arkansas.
Pastor Singh and other leaders from Nepal attended via online courses and successfully graduated from Turning Point International School of Ministry and became members of Turning Point International Alliance. Since that time, we have supported and encouraged them to start 10 Turning Point churches and hope outreaches in several rural villages in Nepal and I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person especially a woman who I will call “Chaha” and her family.
Chaha and her family were immensely impacted by God when she was healed of a long-term illness that she suffered from. When I received the report from Nepal concerning Chaha it reminded me of the account of scripture in the Bible about the woman with the issue of blood that was healed when she touched the helm of Jesus’ garment, she was made whole. Like the woman in the Bible, Chaha and her family had tried everything but she was getting worse. They finally called for the ministers of Turning Point Nepal to come and pray with her. After they prayed, she immediately felt better and over the past several weeks and months she is progressing along very well. That brings me hope.
