Two transfers join women’s basketball team at FAMU
Outlook Staff Report
After finishing last basketball season with a five-game losing streak in what was a difficult season for the women’s basketball program, FAMU seemingly has taken advantage of the transfer portal.
The women program announced the signing of transfers, Skylar Baltezegar and Mide Oriyomi.
Baltezegar comes from Charleston Southern, where she played last season. She averaged 7.2 points per game and 5.8 rebound per game in her freshman season and was named Big South Freshman of the Week twice.
Oriyomi played last season at Purdue, after transferring from Northeastern, where she averaged 11.6 points per game also pulled down 7.7 rebounds per game. During her stop at Northeastern, she was named to the All-CAA Third Team.
