The Christian Response to the Coronavirus

Where do we go after the Resurrection? We are to be a witness. This period of “shelter in place” is prime time for believers to seek, search and survey the lost souls in our families and among our friends. I recommend this week, that since we are sheltered in place at home, that we do some soul searching. Soul winning will bless your soul.

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” (Psalm 126:5-6) You see the promise: If I sow in tears that means my heart sincerely weeps for lost family members and friends. Didn’t Jesus die for our sins and for other sinners? Isn’t the reason for Easter to celebrate people who were lost in sin and raised by the power of Jesus’ resurrection? “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

We have an obligation to use this time at home to become more sensitive to the unsaved souls right around us. In these unprecedented times, we should lead somebody to Christ. Do you really want to experience real joy, unspeakable joy, and the joy of the Holy Ghost? Listen to Jesus in St. Luke15: 10. “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Psalm 126: 5-6 reminds us “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
