TCC VP of Workforce Innovation honored with Exemplary Leadership Award
Special to the Outlook
Tallahassee Community College announces that Kimberly Moore, Vice President for Workforce Innovation and TCC2WORK, will receive The Chair Academy’s 2021 Exemplary Leadership Award.
The award recognizes achievements that advance academic and administrative leadership in higher education organizations. Moore was honored during The Chair Academy’s International Leadership Conference Awards Gala scheduled last Thursday at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Among her most notable contributions to TCC is the development of the TCC Be Essential Campaign in response to the employment impacts of COVID-19. The program helps participants gain skills they need to be marketable in record time in industries such as healthcare, technology, and public safety.
Moore’s innovative and timely thinking led to TCC receiving a Rapid Credentialing Grant from the Florida Department of Education. The program has become a model for many other schools in the state and around the country.
Moore was nominated by her colleague, Dr. Sheri Rowland, Vice President of Student Affairs.
“In her time at TCC, she has demonstrated the best leadership both internally and externally in the communities the College serves,” Rowland said. “Her knowledge, skills, passion, and commitment make a difference on our campus every single day.”
The Chair Academy is a premier leadership development organization for higher education and organizational leaders globally. The International Leadership Conference gives participants the opportunity to meet and share ideas, issues, and challenges with colleagues from global higher education organizations.
