Tallahassee Chapter of the National Action Network launches membership drive

The Tallahassee Chapter of the National Action Network (NAN) has announced its annual membership drive. On hand to kick-off the membership initiative was Rev. Devis Toon, NAN National Field Director. “We are very proud of the work being done here in Tallahassee, and believe Tallahassee will be one of our premier chapters in the country,” stated Rev. Toon on a recent field visit to Tallahassee.
Rev. R.B. Holmes, pastor of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and president of the NAN Tallahassee Chapter, is a strong advocate of social justice. “In these critical times we must stand united to fight injustice in our communities. We are working to register 200 new members during June and July” stated Reverend Holmes.
The Tallahassee NAN Chapter will hosted a kick-off membership meeting Thursday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Veterans Center, 428 West Tennessee. Annual dues are $25.00. New members are welcome to attend.
NAN’s weekly radio broadcast, “Tallahassee National Action In Action” can be heard every Tuesday on WTAL 1450 AM from 4:00-4:30 p.m. It is hosted by NAN Tallahassee Vice-President, Rev. Don Tolliver.
