Despite the early evening humidity, the crowd kept showing up almost an hour into the performance by the Frank Jones Band with guest Common Taters. The Saturday evening show at Cascades Park was the feature act in the latest version of the Sundown Concert Series, a summertime fixture for the past several years.
The series, presented by Visit Tallahassee, drew a cross-section of the community. Most people chose to make it a picnic-like scene, sitting on lawn chairs or blankets on the huge grassy area in front of the stage.
In addition to venders that were lined along Suwannee Street, the City of Tallahassee used the event to promote the quality of its drinking water.

The Frank Jones Band with Common Taters kept the crowd entertained for two hours. Hot dog was a top seller among the vendors.
Cheryl Wright and David Richardson applauded the band at Cascades last Saturday evening. The Michalak family set up for some musical entertainment with baby Moriah (center).
