Outlook Staff Report

During a Bond Elementary School Career Day, a group of students were all bright-eyed after hearing a recording of themselves that was produced by Darius “Doc” Baker, during his radio on Hallelujah 95.3 FM.

The students titled the segment “The BES Show.” Some of the topics that they recorded included fashion, sports and bullying.

Hearing the play-back of their recording was a surprise to the students. The opportunity started after an Anti-Violence Youth Summit at the TNL Performing Arts Center. The impetus was one young boys saying “seeing us more at the schools would help.”

That prompted Baker, program director at Hallelujah 95.3, to act.
