Scott leads FAMU track team at Pepsi Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — FAMU hurdler Jaylyn Scott was one of the top performers for the Rattlers at the Pepsi Florida Relays last weekend in Gainesville. He finished sixth overall in a field of 38 participants in the 400-meter hurdles.
His time of 50.84 seconds is one of the fastest in the nation and he is currently ranks 11th on the 2022 NCAA Division I outdoor qualifying list.
On the women’s side, Mia Heard made her first appearance on the season in the long jump, leaping a distance of 5.52-meter. That left her in 13th place, while Dajon Clark continued to impress with a 6.90-meter effort in the event.
The FAMU track team travels to Miami on Friday for the two-day Hurricane Alumni Invitational.
