Rowland appointed to James E. Scott Academy board

Sheri Rowland, Vice President of Student Affairs at Tallahassee Community College, has been appointed to the James E. Scott Academy Board of Directors for the National Association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
As one of two board members representing the community college sector of higher education, her term will run through March 2024.
The James E. Scott Academy Board is comprised of 20 talented vice presidents for student affairs and other high-ranking student affairs officers who lead divisions at a wide variety of institutional types throughout NASPAs seven regions. The primary role of the Board is to give guidance and thought leadership on critical issues happening in student affairs and higher education.
Rowland has been the Vice President for Student Affairs at TCC since 2016. She previously served in a variety of positions at TCC, including the Director of Enrollment Services and Testing and Dean of Enrollment Management, from 2004 to 2009. Her career has included positions at Gulf Coast Community College, Macon State College and Middle Georgia State College, later Middle Georgia State University.
Rowland completed the Aspen Presidential Fellowship program in 2020 and currently serves as an Achieving the Dream coach.
Dr. Rowland is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where she earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. She went on to earn a Doctor of Education focused in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University in 2003.
