There are so many choices from the menu that they drive the senses into a tailspin.
The smell of bananas is tantalizing. Then, there are the strawberries, kiwis, pineapples and blueberries. Add to that the beach scene, the paintings on the wall.

Welcome to 3 Natives, Tallahassee’s newest restaurant for healthy food lovers.

“What you see is what you get,” said co-owner and manager Brett Nohle. “Our main goal is to help everyone who wants to lead a healthier life.
“That is why we offer fresh lemon juice and cayenne pepper squeezed drinks to help burn fat. We even offer spirulina to help support a healthier immune system.”

Nohle and his partner opened the restaurant three weeks ago. They join a growing list of restaurants in the franchise, which is based in Palm County.

For the range of health drinks and healthy food that they offer, it is likely that they also use the best-in-class equipment to prepare their offerings. Maintaining hygiene standards by using durable food strainers, clean utensils; sourcing fruits and vegetables from local vendors; regular kitchen cleaning; protective equipment for staff, and more, can make them a favorite amongst consumers as well as food authorities.

Nohle has history with the franchise, his brother and business partner owns two stores in Jupiter. The Tallahassee store is located at 3020 West Pensacola St. in the Walker Plaza.

The franchise already has over 12 locations since it first opened four years ago.

Turnout for the grand opening was stunning.

“The Saturday crowd was definitely heavy,” said Camille Eckley, who works at the restaurant. “We had a lunch rush that lasted awhile, and it was a mixture of college students and families.

“A lot of people wanted to come try our Acai bowls because they have heard about them from word of mouth. I’m really glad we got this location in Tallahassee because this is something new (and) this is something no one has ever seen or tasted before.”

Carissa Nohle was one of the eager customers. The acai, with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, and honey drizzled on top is her favorite, she said.

“I could not wait for them to open,” said Nohle, who is related to the owners. “I love them because they keep me healthy and keep me feeling good.

“I tried it once at another location and I just couldn’t get enough.”

Customers could customize their choice of food, the owner said.

“There is no added sugar to anything and we can replace milk with almond and coconut water for an even healthier option,” Nohle said. “We are currently in the works of expanding our menu and in the process of changing our hours of operation.”
