Monticello Consistory #331 celebrates 38 years – “A bridge to light”

Monticello Consistory #331 Scottish Rite Masons, Prince Hall Affiliation (PHA), recently celebrated its 38th anniversary banquet on September 10, 2016 at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida. The event was chaired by the organization’s local president, the Commander-In-Chief, Art Brown, 33°. Anthony T. Stafford, 33º, State-wide president for the Florida Council of Deliberation, was the keynote speaker. It was the first time since being chartered that a State President attended a Monticello Consistory #331 event.

 
Local and State Grand Scottish Rite Masons, PHA, gathered at the banquet to honor Scottish Rite Masons for their leadership, dedication and charity. State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler Juan C. Cox, State-wide president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Florida Council of Deliberation was also in attendance with several of her members.

 
The anniversary banquet highlight was its Regional Laptop Give-A-Way Contest presentation to Keyanna Scott, a 2016 High School Graduate of Jefferson County High School. Commander-In-Chief Art Brown, 33°, reaffirmed the Consistory’s commitment toward investing in local youth by committing to more give-a-ways and scholarship donations in the future.

 
Monticello Consistory #331 is one of several Prince Hall Affiliated Rites of Freemasonry in Florida and has been active in the community since 1978. The organization continues to enhance and strengthen the character of men by providing opportunities for fellowship, charity, education, and leadership.
