Hall leads FAMU top-five finishers at River City face

JACKSONVILLE – After two days of competition in the River City Spring Break Classic, the Florida A&M men’s and women’s track and field teams came away with 13 top-five finishes.
FAMU got its beat finishes in the outdoor season-opening event from Lauryn Hall, Jaydon Sanford, Forrest Booker, and Dajon Clark standing atop the podium as winners.
Hall took to JAX Track at Hodges Stadium, the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary site, and recorded a first-place personal record in the 100-meter dash. She and Shaniya Berry finished back-to-back in the event in respective times of 11.57 and 12.02, while Sanford was the first to cross the finish line in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.67.
Booker led the FAMU jumpers in the triple jump with a distance of 13.93 meters.
The Rattlers will make their next appearance at the three-day FSU Relays, which begins Thursday.
