Eric Friall: A determined business leader and volunteer

Eric Friall is not a Tallahassee native, but Florida born. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to parents who provided a comfortable, supportive home life for their three sons. After high school, he left home to attend Florida State University where he met Andrea, who would later become his wife. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Economics from Florida State University in 1990, and the Master of Business Administration/ Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida in 2016. He has been married to Andrea, an OB/ GYN physician and Vice President/ Medical Officer at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, for 14 years. He calls her a super Mom, while 100 Black Men of Tallahassee named him Father of the Year. He shares a particularly strong bond with his daughter who was by his side throughout most of his campaign for Tallahassee City Commission in 2012. Following in her Dad’s footsteps, she was elected student council president for the Maclay Lower School.

 
Eric has always had an entrepreneurial spirit; and demonstrated it throughout his career with businesses in Transportation and Logistics, Managed Healthcare, and HR Consulting. His professional positions include regional manager at TAS Energy, Vice President of Sales at New York based LegalKey Technologies, and Director of Sales at Law Manager, Inc. and Solutions 6. Currently, he is the Principal and Lead Consultant at Aeson Group in Tallahassee, a business he founded.
He is a very busy man; but not too busy to give back to the community he now calls home. He is President of 100 Black Men Tallahassee, on the Board of Carter Ministries, FSU Seminole Boosters, FSU Alumni Association, and the TMH Patient Family Advisory Group. He is, also, President of the FSU Black Alumni Association and very involved in planning this year’s Annual Black Alumni Week celebration on November 16-19 during FSU’s Homecoming.

 
Eric’s volunteer service includes mentoring students in the Leon County School District, mentoring and serving as judge for the Career Source Capital Region entrepreneurial competition, and giving his time to support the Boys Choir of Tallahassee.  He is, also, a past Board member and Vice President for the Boys Choir. He has been rewarded for his service by being named 2017 Tallahassee Democrat Volunteer of the Year in civic and social service. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and received its 2015 Theta Eta Leadership Award. And he is now the Capital Outlook’s Person of the Week.
