Deadline approaching for FAMU season tickets

Season tickets holders have until June 30 to claim their seats, according to a letter sent out last week by interim athletic director Mike Smith.
Unsold packages will be released for resale after the deadline, the letter said.
Smith’s message urged season ticket holders and Investing in Champions subscribers to log into their FAMU account manager portal through FAMUAthletics.com/tickets to view invoices. Anyone who needs assistance can call the university box office at (850)-599-3141 or visit the Lawson Center box office Mondays through Fridays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The box office is located at 1800 Wahnish Way.
Current renovation at Bragg Stadium will bring enhancements that are expected to affect seating. A new press box with an observation “party” decks is planned for the west side of the stadium. Additionally, fans will have permanently installed seatbacks and more than 200 chair back seats based on their ticket level.
The new stadium layout will displace some loyal patrons; however, “we ask that you understand that this is a by-product of our tremendous growth, stadium upgrades, and program improvements,” Smith’s letter to fans said. “Ample seating will be available for all our fans and supporters.”
The university box office and athletic department will make every effort to accommodate all patrons, the letter said.
“Our student-athletes and coaches are preparing to take to the gridiron in the fall,” Smith said in his letter. “Your support is vital for their success in the classroom and competition on the field.”
