Christie receives prestigious PR award
Special to the Outlook
Jaylen Christie, an account supervisor at Bernadette Davis Communications in Orlando, was recently presented the ImPRess Award for Professional Achievement. The award is presented by the Florida Public Relations Association’s Orlando chapter.
The award celebrates an individual who is a trailblazer in the public relations profession who has achieved an unprecedented or extraordinary milestone in their career, or has left a lasting mark or impression on the Central Florida community.
Christie is a Tallahassee native and a graduate of FAMU School of Journalism and Graphic Communications. He is a leader in Bernadette Davis Communications’ mission to help companies with diversity, equity and inclusion.
“I am very honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious accolade,” said Christie, who serves on the Public Relations Society of America’s Board of Directors. “To be recognized for my work in communication along with diversity, equity, and inclusion truly means a lot to me.
“With civil unrest being brought to the forefront in 2020, there’s still so much work to do. While I certainly don’t do it for the acclaim, it is nice to be recognized. I am very humbled.”
