The Capital Outlook, an award-winning Black newspaper in North Florida, has released its endorsements for the November General Election.

Selected candidates were interviewed by the Outlook’s Editorial Board on Oct. 18.

“The integrity of Capital Outlook’s endorsement process is impeccable,” said board member Rev. Joe Parramore. “I believe the secret ballot process produced the most qualified and viable candidates for the positions interviewed.

“It was a pleasure to serve our community as a member of Capital Outlook’s Editorial Board.”

Dr. Connie Evans noted that the Outlook represents the African American’s point of view.

“I was honored to be a member of the Editorial Board for the Capital Outlook,” Evans said. “This newspaper represents the African American point of view.  As a board  member, I was designated to ask the candidates a question of my choice.

“My question was one of accountability. I was interested in what the candidates have done and what they plan do to enhance the African American community.”

Each candidate responded based on their experience.
