Bryant, Boulware join BBMC board of directors

Former city commissioner Elaine Bryant and businessman Peter Boulware have been named to the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors. Both community leaders will help lead the organization in its mission to promote prosperity and serve as a catalyst for economic vitality in the Big Bend Region.
“The leadership of our board of directors has never been more important, as we lead in the advocacy for women and minority business through the pandemic, and focus on rebuilding our economy,” said Antonio Jefferson, interim president & CEO of the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce.
“We are fortunate to have such strong, strategic business leaders serve on our board. By convening so many dynamic and diverse leaders, we will be able provide value added benefits to our members and the communities we serve,” said Sean Pittman, chairman of the Board of Directors.
Bryant, President, E.W. Bryant, and Associates, is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of E.W. Bryant Associates, and a former Tallahassee City Commissioner. She has held leadership positions at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Bryant’s consulting firm provides management training services to private and government sector businesses.
Boulware is the owner/managing partner of Peter Boulware Toyota and the founder of the private school Community Leadership Academy in Tallahassee. Boulware is a graduate of Florida State University, where he was a star football player. After leaving Florida State, he played in the National Football League for the Baltimore Ravens.
The Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce mission is to stimulate grassroots economic growth and development for minority-owned and women-owned businesses in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Franklin, and Wakulla counties. The BBMC board of directors and professional staff work aggressively to build and sustain relationships in business and industry at the local, regional, and national levels to expand and strengthen the network of support for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and the targeted populations the organization serves.
