Bond Community Health Center observes National Women and Girls HIV and AIDS Awareness Day

Hundreds of individuals from throughout the community heard from community leaders and agency representatives during Bond Community Health Center, Inc. observed National Women and Girl HIV and AIDS Awareness Day. During the second annual Painting with a Purpose resource fair held last Thursday, patients were encouraged to paint, speak with local vendors, enjoy music and lunch from Mr. JB’s Barbecue food truck.
Speakers included Talethia Edwards, president of Bond Community Neighborhood Association, along with representatives from the Department of Health-Leon County, Department of Health Community Planning, Big Bend Cares, Neighborhood Medical Center, and RRR Inc. Also represented were PACE Center for Girls, S.H.E. Academy, Capital Area Healthy Start, DOH-Maternal and Prenatal, DOH- Breast and Cervical, Simply/Clear Health Alliance, Scale It Up-Florida, BTAN, SOS PHI Center-Tallahassee, TMH Health Promotion, NAMI, Angel Wings, and The Humble House.
