Softball coach Patterson shares post-season award
Florida A&M softball’s coach Camise Patterson recently attended the NCAA Women Coaches Academy & Academy 2.0 and she left as a co-recipient of the 2023 Cecile Reynaud Coaching Mastery Award.
The award is named for Reynaud, who coached volleyball at Florida State University for more than two decades before retiring in 2001.
“To be recognized as a co-recipient of the Cecile Reynaud Coaching Mastery Award is an amazing honor,” said Patterson. “Being recognized for embodying the characteristics of a coach the caliber of Cecile Reynaud reaffirms that I am where I’m supposed to be and doing what I’m supposed to do. Thank you, God, for allowing me to help grow the game and advocate for women coaches.
“Thank you to WeCOACH for going above and beyond to help women coaches from all levels stay in coaching. The valuable partnerships, learning opportunities, and mentors that WeCOACH provides to its members is so needed. Thank you to the SWAC for helping Move The Numbers as a conference partner. Thank you to AD Tiffani-Dawn Sykes and our administration at Florida A&M for recognizing that coaches need coaches, too. Your administrative support continues to allow our university to keep reaching new heights.”
This award recognizes a member of Academy 2.0 who embodies the characteristics of Reynaud: leadership, commitment to personal development and the advancement of others, and a deep care and respect for the game.
