Let us thank God that He has blessed us to see 2021. Every year brings its share of crises and celebrations. The good news is that we have a Lord and Savior, who promises to be with us through all seasons of our lives. We are fortunate and blessed to live in a country and city where we have experienced so many blessings and opportunities in spite of the current pandemic we find ourselves in. First and foremost, I would like to thank you, our readers and subscribers for your support of the Capital Outlook Newspaper, as well as WTAL 1450AM/Hallelujah 95.3FM radio station. I would like to take a moment to congratulate those persons and organizations that have been chosen as our Person of the Year, Family of the Year, Pastor of the Year, Church of the Year, Youth of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Millennial of the Year, Civil Rights Advocate of the Year, Business of the Year and Organization of the Year.

Millennial of the Year
James E. Wright II, Ph.D – McKnight Junior Faculty Development Fellowship (2020-2021). In addition to the fellowship, Dr. Wright serves as an assistant professor in the Askew School of Public Administration and Public Policy at Florida State University where his research specializes in policing, law enforcement agency management and race.
Businesses of the Year
Ingram Accounting & Consulting LLC – Spencer Ingram, owner
Founded in 1997 by Mr. Ingram, Ingram Accounting & Consulting was the only Black owned CPA firm operating a full-time practice in Tallahassee until 2001. Since its genesis, people have taken precedence over numbers at the firm. The firm has evolved from a primary focus on tax planning and preparation, to now a full complement of tax and business services, including bookkeeping, profit planning, tax resolution and compliance, Certified Financial Officer services and business planning and acquisition. The Ingram Accounting staff is blessed to service hundreds of clients, ranging from individuals to small and large businesses, religious organizations, non-profits, solo practitioners and partnerships.

The Links, Inc. – Alexis Roberts McMillan
The Tallahassee Chapter of The Links, Inc has been serving the Tallahassee area for over 62 years. The programs activities are dedicated to service in the community and improving the quality of life for all humankind.
Youth of the Year
Katelyn N. Reddick – Lincoln High School
Both a National Honors Society and National Achievers Society member, Ms. Reddick is a junior at Lincoln High School. In addition to the honor societies, she is a member of the Black History Brain Bowl Club (2x county champion), the Student Government Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Culinary Club and the Cheerleading team. Ms. Reddick has served in various leadership roles, including Pearls of Perfection treasurer (2020-2021), Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Youth President (2020-2021), and Tallahassee Area Coalition Center of Excellence National Achievers Society President (2020-2021).
Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Kaylin Jean-Louis – Kaylin’s Caring Konnection, owner.
Ms. Jean-Louis is on a mission through her business to show love, bring smiles and touch as many hearts as she can by showing that, if no-one else does, Kaylin Cares. She is also the host of Inspiring Moments with Kaylin which airs each Sunday at 7:21pm on Facebook.
Civil Rights Advocate of the Year
Ben Crump, Esq.
Known as The Trial Lawyer for Justice, Attorney Crump is the “people’s champion” as he represents clients in some of the most important and contentious cases of our time, taking a place in legal history with his pursuit of justice. His passion for advocacy has given him the privilege to fight for justice on behalf of the marginalized in our country, a calling to which he remains dedicated. His work on several high profile cases shows a legacy built around the idea that the Constitution applies to everyone, at every level of society
