2nd annual survivors conference to be held winning the victory over cancer!
Special to the Outlook
On Thursday, October 27 at 7 p.m. Dr. Towanda Davila-Davis and the Cancer Knockout Connection will host its 2nd Annual Survivor’s Conference themed: “Today I Live to Tell the Story.” The annual event will be held at Life Changers Church, 601 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee.
This event is more than a celebration of survival for Dr. Davis, a six-year breast cancer survivor, and other cancer survivors who will join her for the event. It is an opportunity to hear powerful stories of restoration, learn more about how to fight various forms of cancer, and help support the fund-raising effort that will be part of the program.
Davis, who established the “Cancer Knock Out-CKO” organization will be among many of the participants who will share their stories to empower others to hope, fight and live!
“Today, I live to tell the story,” says Dr. Davis. “And, I know that God allowed me to live to be an inspiration to others and offer a strong voice for the successful fight against cancer.”
Last year’s successful inaugural conference focused on the breast cancer fight. This year’s conference will focus on a number of different cancers and cancer survivors. Two key goals for the conference are to count the number of years of survivorship for attendees and to raise needed dollars to fight the disease. Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The public is invited to attend this life-changing conference. Media is also invited and encouraged to attend.
